A question I always get from clients who’ve just got a new piercing is whether not they should adjust it, they worry that it’ll get “stuck” if they don’t turn it a little from time to time. Leave it as it is! Every time you touch your piercing or move it even just a little bit, the regenerative process of the tissue is interrupted and the site of the piercing is exposed to dirt and bacteria. And if you’ve my other posts on here, you’ll know what that means: inflammation, infection and all-round nastiness. So then, my advice to you is to adjust your piercing only as part of the three-times-daily cleaning process. Other than that, avoid the temptation to fiddle with it and just leave it the way it is!
